Giant Kicks Soccer Ball into Building

This is a promotional sign for the Columbus Crew Soccer team on the side of a 12 story building in downtown on High Street done by Orange Barrel Media.
It is one of many oversized billboards on the sides of buildings nearby. Mostly they appear on the sides of new condo conversions like this soccerball. Orange Barrel has done many such oversized and odd advertisement in downtown Columbus. The biggest is about to turn the corner of Broad and High into Times Square.

High Street Art

This blog is about art on High Street in Columbus.
Both the architecture and fine arts from 25 years of visual documentation.
An amazing amount of small real estate developments has changed the look and feel of the entire city, but centered and started on High Street.
Almost every suburb has developed a retrolook street scape of shops, a trend orginating in the Short North. A giant lifestyle mall in the suburbs as well as one in the campus area of High Street have echoed the pioneering done in the Short North. Beyond architecture, the city has adopted an arts and culture oriented view of itself. Galleries are everywhere and many great performing arts groups proliferate.

This blog will address this amzing story and its ever evolving continuation.
